What’s the technology behind iTRAp CO2? As iTRAp CO2 is designed by ARTi, we will be using ARTi’s pyrolysis reactors. ARTi has designed and patented a biochar reactor that successfully contributes to significant advances in cost and complexity reduction, flexibility, variety of feedstock options, and biochar product range.  ARTi has developed the most cost-effective and efficient technology, given its scalability, capital expenditure, and operational expenses, for biomass to biochar conversion for carbon sequestration purposes.

How does our reactor work?

The biomass comes in from the walking floor trailer and goes to a grinder to crush coarse into small particle sizes. After, it goes through the dryer section, where the moisture content is recommended to be less than 20%.Then, the dried biomass goes to the reactor section, pyrolyzing the material between 400C to 700C in an oxygen limited environment that carbonizes the biomass. Once the biochar is produced, the biochar cools down to ~60C through the cooling tower section to finally arrive at the filling station, where the super sacks are filled and are ready to ship.

We pyrolyzed more than 30 different organic materials such as corn stalks, oat, rice and sunflower hulls, wood chips, manure, sawdust and MORE!

REMEMBER:

Biochar is a carbon negative, cost effectively, long-term and scalable technology!
